3.　Technical Surveys

We accept a wide range of technical research requests spanning the entire chemical field.

◇ Development of Low-Temperature Properties of Fluororubber (April 1986 – October 1989)

To improve the low-temperature properties of fluororubber, which are inferior compared to general rubber materials, I synthesized copolymer monomers that facilitate molecular movement even at low temperatures and conducted a study on the copolymer composition with conventional fluorine monomers. During this process, I reported the results at an international conference on functional polymers held in Korea.

◇ Development of Resin for Fluororesin Coatings (November 1989 – April 1993)

Resins used in architectural coatings degrade within a few years, but using fluororesin can provide durability of about 20 years. I served as the practical leader in designing, developing processes, and scaling up the optimal fluororesin for coatings.

◇ Development of Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) (May 1993 – May 1995)

I led a team of two subordinates as the practical leader in molecular design and polymerization technology development for perfluoroelastomer (FFKM).

◇ Process Development of Fluororubber (June 1995 – March 1999)

To reduce costs of fluororubber traditionally produced by batch polymerization, I led a team of five subordinates as the practical leader in developing continuous polymerization technology.

◇ Development of Resin for Fluororesin Powder Coatings (April 1999 – May 2003)

As the practical leader in molecular design and process development of resin for fluororesin powder coatings used in building materials, I led a team of eight subordinates.

◇ Process Development of Fluororesin (June 2003 – January 2010)

As the section manager in charge of the fluororesin process development department, I promoted the process development of melt-processable fluororesin. I also handled outsourced production operations at a Chinese fluorine manufacturer during this period.

◇ China Business Project (February 2010 – March 2015)

Taking advantage of the rise of China, when the company focused on intensive investment in Chinese business, I participated as a member of the company investigation and negotiation team to promote collaboration with several Chinese fluorine manufacturers, leading to outsourced production, among other things.

◇ Head Office Planning Operations (April 2015 – June 2016)

After returning from China, I was assigned to the head office planning department, where I was responsible for the President’s Award Secretariat and fluorine materials marketing.

◇ Fluorine Materials Marketing Operations (July 2016 – September 2019)

Belonging to the marketing department aimed at developing applications for fluorine materials, I gained experience in domestic and international marketing operations. I organized information from various bases in the US, Europe, China, and Asia, supporting their activities. During this period, I also promoted the marketing of chemical machinery (environmental machinery) to China as the practical leader.
